Meet Blu, a breath taking 2017 AQHA Registered Gelding. Blu stands 15.1 weighs 1302 lbs.! He is the definition of the American Ranch Horse- Raw boned, big brown eyed, dapple gray, thick tailed, cowy, work horse. Blu has been on a working ranch since the day he was started as a 2-year-old. Blu has the kind of pedigree a person only dreams of producing. By an own son of 6666’s Standing Stallion “SEVEN FROM HEAVEN”, out of an OWN DAUGHTER of “SHAKE SHIVER N SHINE” Blu was bred with purpose. He’s no stranger to long hours, rough country, and wild cattle. Blu is a what we like to call “handy”. He has a solid neck rein, travels correct, and always aims to please. Blu has been used in the sale barn atmosphere as well, where he is used to sort and load thousands of head every week. Blu has also spent some time at the reining horse trainers. He has a vividly attractive stride and carries himself with ease. He has a big beautiful cross over in his turn arounds, packs his face pretty in his circles, and will get in the ground. The best part about Blu is you don’t HAVE to be a cowboy to get along with him. He has never offered to buck or get cold backed with us. You can leave him stalled up for weeks and go right back to the same horse you left him as, the time before. Blu is a prime prospect to take to the arena as well. He’s got the action and feel, but is very good minded. There’s never been a job Blu has refused to do for us.
